Unintelligent Military and Nigerian Nation

Before now most of us rated Nigeria’s military might on ground as preferably the best you could ever find around, simply because Nigeria often answers international calls for military intervention in places where violence reign supreme on the globe; the fact that Nigeria possesses warm foreign policy that caters for troubled nations cannot be under-emphasized as it is evidently explained by our foreign military intervention for peace restoration in troubled locations on the world map. The fact that we are our brother’s keepers by our friendly gesture to the neighboring communities around us is written bold by our commendable activities on the continent; no wonder we are labeled giant or maybe successive Nigerian Governments chose to be addressed as “Giant of Africa”.

The emergence of insurgency group in the country however posits the logic behind the present reevaluation that Nigeria’s military might is only over hyped as being the best on ground for reasons of mere interventions that they engaged themselves with over the years within and outside African continent, as the dreaded Boko Haram sect has completely come to wrong the praise that Nigeria showers on her force. Though this is one group that is currently daring international community and indeed humanity as a whole that they will continue terrorizing their fellow humans such that everyone submits to there unpopular will.

Anyway, it all began like a child’s play in 2011 when Jonathan led administration was reelected back to power, that was the exact time Boko Haram leader came out to announce declaration of terror against the state as they openly listed out conditions that could never be met under the guise of religion; though the present administration never took them serious because hazardous events of this alarming magnitude have never been recorded on the landscape of the Africa’s Most Populous Country and no one ever believed that Nigeria could eventually be this divided or destroyed on the basis of religion, ethnicity or power.

Indeed Nigerians were fully confident knowing fully well that Nigeria has reliable military that has capabilities to contain insurgency that vowed to feast on human blood; it suddenly became incredible as we could not comprehend the efficiency of the force that we rated so high, the fact that military has failed is not in doubt as they often run for cover whenever the insurgent group strikes, leaving the defenseless to their faith. In some cases where military recorded upper hand over the insurgent group, they habitually over celebrate little achievements as if the task has been won, while they show desperation in certain areas as they claim successes that they never worked for.

No doubt, no good substance without its disadvantage, so also every bad substance will have at least one useful advantage and that is exactly the case of Boko Haram; though the organization is terrific but it has helped Nigeria to evaluate her military strength such that we now fully aware of their inefficacy.  This particular period showcases the fact that our military is not as formidable as we thought owing to the fact that they could not attain a remarkable height ever since the insurgency started.

It has been proven by the operation of the insurgency that we maintain armed forces that lack viable intelligence and monitoring devices that can lead to projected result; the inept policy or decision of the leadership of the armed forces has earned the country the urgly situation we find ourselves because the money spent on the entire armed force on training in abroad together with fat allocation budget for defence is not yielding any good fruits,

It sounds more ridiculous that in this age and era, the organization saddled with the responsibility of safeguarding our nation does not have the required intelligence to properly carry out the task given to them.

claim the s all have come to no that they are not only weak but as well  clarify the conceived perception of all come quite of operation they had done in the past
