Caf Officials to Inspect Pillars’ Sabongari Ground

The Confederation Africans Football (Caf) will inspect Kano Pillars home ground, Kano Pillars Stadium, Sabongari, on Monday ahead of the 2015 Champions League.

“We are expecting Caf Officials to inspect our stadium on Monday and we are hopeful it will be approved to host Champions League matches next year,” the club’s spokesman Idris Malikawa said.

Pillars preferred home ground, Sani Abacha Stadium- also in Kano, is still under renovation.

Glo Premier League champions Pillars and runners-up Enyimba are Nigeria’s two representatives in next year’s Champions League after their top-flight finish this season.
Pillars best performance in the continental championship came five years ago when they reached the last four.
