Kwankwaso Sympathizes With Kano Pillars Players Attacked By Robbers

The Kano State Governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, on Sunday visited three Kano Pillars FC players, who are currently on admission at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, as a result of an attack by armed robbers in Abaji, Abuja.

The team was on its way to Owerri, Imo state for a match with Heartland FC.

The three players, Adamu Murtala, Gambo Muhammad and Otakpa Oneji, who were shot, had the bullets excised at the hospital,

Mr. Kwankwaso sympathized with the victims. He described the attack as barbaric considering the fact that the team was engaged in a trip for common good.

He promised that the state government would shoulder the hospital bills of the victims and prayed for their quick recovery.

The governor was conducted round the hospital ward by the state Commissioner of Health, Abubakar Yusuf, in the company of officials of Kano Pillars Chairman FC and senior staff of the hospital .
