Wikipedia updates Orubebe’s profile over attempted poll disruption

MARCH 31, 2015 : ADE ADESOMOJU WITH AGENCY REPORT
94 Comments
Godsday Orubebe’s profile on Wikipedia just got updated that he attempted to disrupt 2015 general election result announcement on March 31.

Orubebe, the agent of the Peoples Democratic Party at the announcement of the presidential election in Abuja, had called for the stoppage of the presentation of the results on Tuesday.

Shouting on top of his voice, Orubebe, a former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, alleged that INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, had taken side with the All Progressives Congress.

At the venue of the results presentation on Tuesday, the PDP agent shouted, “You sent a committee to Rivers to probe what happened there. We submitted petitions to you about Kano, Jigawa, Katsina but you have not done anything about our complaints. You cannot continue with these results; we will not take it.”

As Jega tried to calm him down, asking to be given a chance to respond, Orubebe shouted, “Mr. Jega, You cannot continue, go to your office. You are partial. We don’t have any confidence in you. We will not allow this. You cannot continue. You must stop the results.”

Violence Erupts at INEC Office Bauchi (Very Graphic Photos)

The military allegedly shot a man this morning at Bauchi's INEC Office after tring to gain access into the office. Residents of the state had earlier blocked the military from entering the office as results were being collated and this sparked the violence.

The residents had held a vigil outside the INEC office to await the announcement of last Saturday's election when the military showed up. Another man was hit by a stray bullet.

Our dear president urges everyone to patiently wait for INEC to collate and announce results.

10 Things You Never Knew About Your v**ina

1. When you’re turned on, your clit basically gets a boner. During female s*xual arousal, the cli**ris becomes engorged with blood and erect. The size obviously varies person-to-person, but is not very large.

2. Your menstrual blood could help patients suffering from heart failure. An ERC (endometrial regenerative cells) congestive heart failure phase II clinical trial is currently testing the safety of the ERC, or “stem cells,” to treat congestive heart failure patients. Stem cells are extracted from the blood and then grown in culture to generate different types of cells in the body. In this case, the stem cells are made into muscle cells of the heart, for reparative purposes in these patients. This is an experimental foreign study, and is not something that is being done routinely, but yes, it could help patients suffering from heart failure.

3. When you’re turned on, your v**ina doubles in size. Women’s vaginas can vary substantially in size and shape during s*xual arousal. This is mainly due to tenting, which causes expansion of the upper two-thirds of the v**ina. The upward tenting also is thought to facilitate the movement of sperm up into the cervix. You know, for conception.

4. You might not have been born with a hymen at all. The majority of women are born with a hymen, and they can have varying shapes and sizes. But if you don’t have one, you’d probably never know it, as it doesn’t have any impact on your s*x life. More noticeable is a hymen that is not easily penetrated or torn — that can result in painful s*x or even difficulty getting a man-hood into your v**ina.

5. You may have more trouble reaching climax if you have a smaller cli**ris. According to a study by the Journal of s*xual Medicine that used MRIs to measure 30 women’s clitorises, of the 10 women who reported having trouble orgasming, all of them had clitorises that were farther from their vaginal opening. There isn’t a lot of conclusive data outside of that, but it seems to be a good indicator that there’s a possible correlation. Additionally, many women with smaller clitorises find that penetration-clit-stim combo vibrators (like the Rabbit) don’t work well for them because the “ears” don’t reach their clit.

6. There are 8,000 nerve endings in the cli**ris, while the man-hood only has 4,000. The cli**ris has many more sensory nerve endings than the man-hood, and stimulation can result in a cascade of immense nerve stimuli. (This may be why direct clitoral stimulation can be painful for some women.) Clitoral climax is therefore generally far more intense than male climax.

7. It’s impossible to lose anything in your v**ina. The very top of the v**ina is the cervix, an opening only big enough for microscopic sperm to get through. The v**ina is a fixed space that doesn’t continue up, so you can’t permanently lose something in there. It’s always retrievable. (Just make sure you’re retrieving whatever it is with your hand—and with trimmed fingernails—and nothing sharp!)

8. It is possible for your v**ina to fall out. With utero-vaginal prolapse, the v**ina, or the uterus and v**ina, can protrude outside the body. This can happen after childbirth or after menopause from lack of pelvic support, but it’s rare and repairable with surgery.

9. Your v**ina can’t get looser just because you have a lot of s*x. According to Dr. Justin J. Lehmiller, Ph.D. and author of the blog s*x and Psychology, “the v**ina naturally becomes looser when women are sexually aroused in order to prepare for intercourse—but after s*x, everything goes back to its normal state. What does cause vaginal looseness? Older age and (for some women) childbirth.”

10. Your v**ina has the same pH level as a glass of wine. The normal vaginal pH for vaginas is 3.8 to 4.5. Most wines’ pH fall around 3.0 or 4.0; about 3.0 to 3.4 is desirable for white wines, while about 3.3 to 3.6 is best for reds. Yes, but what does my v**ina pair well with? What of that?

APC wants Fayose’s deputy charged with election violence

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to charge the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, for election violence.

It also asked the Commission to cancel the election result in Ire-Ekiti over allegation of violence and ballot snatching.

The opposition party based the call on the reported shooting of an APC member, Jide Owolabi, in Ikere-Ekiti, on the alleged order of the deputy governor during Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

It was gathered that problem started when Eleka, who was moving around the polling units in Ikere Ekiti to monitor the accreditation process was accosted by aggrieved youths who saw his action as violating the electoral law.

It was reported that Owolabi was shot on his buttocks by one of the security operatives attached to the deputy governor during the ensued argument.

The APC Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, said in a statement on Sunday that the two incidents were well plotted as strategic plan by the Peoples Democratic Party to have undue advantage to win the ballot.

He said, “What happened in Ikere-Ekiti was a pre-meditated incident to cow the opposition to submission. We had earlier raised the alarm to the plan by top officials of Governor Ayodele Fayose’s administration to employ violence and intimidation to cow our members to enable them manipulate the electoral process.

“We wrote the security agencies, including both local and international human rights organs, about PDP’s plan. Yesterday incident was just a manifestation of the fears we raised.

The APC spokesman said the INEC and security agencies should investigate the incident while also asking the electoral body to charge the deputy governor for electoral violence.

Reacting, the Acting Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Joseph Adaraniwon, said the APC was chasing shadows by demanding prosecution of the deputy governor.

He said, “The Deputy Governor cannot be charged for any electoral violence because he did not carry any arms or attack anybody. Instead, it was the APC’s hired thugs that attacked the gentleman. The APC is only making excuses for its defeat in the whole 16 local government areas of the state.”

Amokachi: Musa’s Experience Counted against South Africa

Nigeria caretaker coach Daniel Amokachi has lauded Ahmed Musa following his contribution in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with South Africa at the Mbombela stadium in Nelspruit.

The CSKA Moscow forward was handed the captain’s armband in absence of goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, who was forced out of the squad due to a backache.

“He is the most capped player in the team, after Vincent left,” Amokachi said. “I definitely think he is a well deserved captain for the day capping it with a brilliant goal.”

Musa complimented his leadership role with a late opening strike, similar to his equaliser against Argentina in a 2014 World Cup group game. The winger cut in from the left flank and then curled past Itumeleng Khune from just outside the box.
“He is a good player, with all the experienced and world class player that he is. You can see the goal he scored was reminiscent to the one he scored against Argentina in the World Cup,” he continued. “It is brilliant.

“We needed that experience because we have a lot of young players and new players coming into the team and I’m sure he contributed in that way.”

Bongani Zungu however beat Godfrey Oboabona to goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi’s rebound to poke in from close range as South Africa secured their fourth draw against Nigeria.

Breaking: INEC National Collation Center Sealed Off By Soldiers, As Jega Is Barred From Announcing Result

The Paradigm- Information reaching The Paradigm reveals alleged plans by Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark, National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki to rig the presidential elections currently going on in the country.

A source who is in the know revealed to The Paradigm that after a thorough review of the election results from the six geo political zones in the country, it was concluded that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) cannot be allowed to continue with the announcement of the result, which does not favour President Goodluck Jonathan.

The source told The Paradigm that “they considered a first option of inflating President Jonathan’s scores in the South-South and South-East, but that option couldn’t fly as it wouldn’t march the numbers of the APC candidate Gen. Buahri,” the source told The Paradigm
It was learnt that part of the way forward is to block Jega from announcing the results. Consequent to this, “they ordered soldiers to seal off the International Conference Center, Abuja which is the collation center for the presidential elections.”

Results from the South-South and the South-East remain unavailable as at the time of publishing this report.

Four-year-old Boy, Sister Burnt to Death in Lagos Fire

A four-year-old boy, identified as Paul, and his sister, 1 year old , have been burnt to death after fire gutted a bungalow in the Igbo-Efon, Lekki area of Lagos State.

The incident happened around 5am on Saturday.

PUNCH Metro was told that the fire began from a cooking stove which exploded in the bungalow where the victims lived with their parents. The inferno was said to have quickly spread and torched
the room where the children were.

The mother of the children fled the area and called for help, but the children could not be saved.

PUNCH Metro learnt that firefighters and other officials of the Lagos State Fire Service and National Emergency Management Agency were on ground during the incident.

The Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, said the agency was not alerted on time, adding that when firefighters got to the scene, they only met the charred remains of the victims.

He said:
“The fire started around 5am, and it involved a bungalow on 11, Fabiyi Street, Igbo Efon. The bungalow has a two and a three bedroom flats.

“We were alerted to the incident exactly 6.03am and when we got there, we still met the fire raging. We deployed our men from the Eti-Osa and Onikan divisions in the area.

“However, when they got there, they only saw the corpses of the kids; they had suffered severe burns injuries.
“Preliminary investigations reveal that the children’s father was not around, but their mother was. They were preparing a meal on the stove, when the stove exploded.

“The children could not escape it and that was how they were burnt to death.”
Fadipe said an uncle of the victim called the ambulance service which conveyed them to the mortuary, adding that the tragedy was avoidable if precaution had been taken by the children’s parents.

He advised members of the public to avoid storing kerosene and petrol in the same keg, which he said might have been responsible for the incident.

We suspect that the explosion was because kerosene was mixed up with petrol in the tank of the stove. This could be because the couple used the same keg to buy petrol and kerosene.
“It is very important for people to ensure that the keg they use in buying kerosene is not the same used for petrol.

“Again, when the fire in a cooking stove is to be put off, we must ensure the thread is completely out, and not for us to be using crude method of water or mouth to blow out the fire, which could cause an explosion,” Fadipe added.

The spokesperson for NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the victims were with a couple in the area because of the elections, when a gas cooker exploded.

He said:
The children were in the area because of the election and wanted to seek refuge in the event that there was violence where they stayed with their parents. They were cooking when there was an explosion.

“The kids hid under the bed, but were burnt to death. Nobody knew they were there until somebody remembered that they were still in the house, but by then, it was too late.”

He added that officials of the agency tried to salvage the situation, but it was too late.

Police Recover N9m from Dead Armed Robbers who Raided Owo Banks

The police in Ondo State have recovered N9 million from the six of the fifty armed robbers who raided four banks at Owo last week.

Two police women and four others, including an ASP and seven civilians were killed by the robbers who stormed the banks at about 4pm last Friday. Also shot dead by the robbers were a bank manager and his deputy who reportedly refused to cooperate with them on arrival at the bank.

Vanguard reports that the robbers trailed some cash that were deposited in the banks, in view of last Saturday’s elections. The six robbers were shot dead by policemen who engaged them in a shoot out that lasted for two hours. The two women police and the ASP were shot dead at the police station on
arrival by the robbers who destroyed the station with gunshots.

Some vehicles, including that of the DPO of the station, was taken away but later recovered hours later after by the police. 23 assorted fire arms, including 9000rounds of ammunition, 11 dynamites, 100 magazines, ten smoke hand grenade, three steel helments, police berets and uniforms, nine exotic vehicles, were recovered from the robbers.

Confirming the incident, the Police Commissioner, Isaac Eke, said the command received information that armed men numbering over fifty in several vehicles, wielding sophisticated weapons, had slipped into the state. Eke said the robbers took over the police stations and four banks According to him, a formidable reinforcement, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police from Akure, the state capital, in charge of operations was dispatched .
“After intense and protracted exchange of fire with the robbers, one of them was arrested alive, while six others lost their lives from gun shot wounds.
The police commissioner said one Sony video camera with which the robbers recorded their dastardly act by themselves were equally recovered. Eke vowed to arrest those that “managed to escape with bullet wounds towards the boundary of Ondo with Edo/Kogi states.’’

Hoodlums attack Ondo INEC officials, snatch result sheets

The result sheets for the Ilaje Local Government for both the House of Representatives and Senatorial elections were snatched by some hoodlums on Sunday evening.

Reports said workers of the Independent National Electoral Commission, who were on their way from the local government to submit the results at the collation centre at Okitipupa were also attacked by the hoodlums who made away with the result sheets.

The Returning Officer for the Ondo South Senatorial District election, Prof. Yomi Alfred, confirmed the incident to our correspondent, describing it as a huge setback.

He said, “We were expecting the result to arrive with high expectation but got information that the prepared document they were bringing to us was snatched by some hoodlums. We are downcast about this development.

“I don’t know the decision INEC will take on this. We have made some collations from the other five local governments in the state. INEC will decide on what to do about the issue. By what we found out, on the average, there were over 20,000 votes between the candidate who is leading and the one that follows. If the number of registered voters in Ilaje LG does not exceed the 20,000, INEC may go ahead and declare the winner. But the decision is for INEC to take.”

Findings showed that the missing result may hamper the declaration of a winner for the Ondo South senatorial and the Ese Odo/Ilaje federal constituency seats.

Calls made to the mobile phone of the Ondo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, for reaction were not picked as at the time of filing this report

Meanwhile, the Returning Officer for the Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency election, Dr. S. Oluyamo, has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Omogbehin Michael, as the winner of the Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency, having polled 30,176 votes, as against the 25,841 by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Akinmoyero Victor.

BREAKING: Violence in Rivers state, INEC office set ablaze

The Independent National Electoral Commissions (INEC) in Emohua local government area has been set ablaze by unknown political thugs.

It was gathered that the building located at Emohua, the council headquaters which houses the electoral body was Sunday morning engulf in fire.

The development may not be unconnected with the irregularities recorded in Saturday’s election in the state.

Earlier today, thousands of All Progressives Congress, APC, party members in Port Harcourt,Sunday, protested against the handling of the Presidential and National Assembly elections held yesterday in Rivers State.

Heavily armed anti-riot Policemen have taken over a portion of the ever busy Aba road as the protesters armed with placards are marching to the state office of the Independent National Electoral Comission, INEC.

As at press time, none of the election results has been announced.

#NigeriaDecides: APC Calls For Outright Cancellation of Elections in Rivers

The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has petitioned the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, calling for “outright cancellation and rescheduling” of the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

The allegations contained in the petition, if proven, may discredit the election in the state.

In the petition signed by the Rivers APC Chairman, Davies Ikanya, the party said the “parody of election held in Rivers State” on Saturday was marred by “deliberate non release of result sheets to nearly all the centres, active collaboration and collusion of the INEC staff with the People’s Democratic Party in undermining the credibility of the election”.

It said violence was orchestrated to scare away voters, adding that the officers of the Nigerian Police Force were also used to arrest some APC leaders and faithful, thereby disenfranchising them.

All these happened, the APC alleged, because the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Gesila Khan, “a known associate and friend” of President Goodluck Jonathan, “connived” with the PDP.

“The most egregious aspect of the glaring irregularities and breaches in the election is in the area of a wilful and deliberate non availability of results sheets in nearly all voting centres”, the party said.

Accordingly, this was “deliberately made so as to pave the way for the writing of the results thereafter”.

While no result sheets were sent to Emohua, Ikwerre, Omuma, Etche, Akuku Toru, Ogu/Bolo, Okrika, Asari Toru, Ahoada East, Bonny, Khana, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Ahoada West,Abua/Odual, Oyigbo and some parts of Port Harcourt, only three of 11 wards of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government had result sheets, the ruling APC in the state said.

It stated that in spite of strenuous objection by members of the party, “several thousand persons” with fake permanent voter cards, rejected by the card readers, were allowed to vote in almost all the Local Government Areas, particularly, in Tai-eleme, Oyigbo, Ikwerre, Obio/Akpor, Okrika and Ogu/Bolo.

Following seizure of sensitive materials in Gokana and Opobo/Nkoro LGAs, the electoral officers announced there were no elections, APC added.

While the petition was being drafted, APC said it was aware that massive thumb-printing and collation of fake results were underway at:

Landmark Hotel in D/Line, Port Harcourt owned by Olaka Nwogu the PDP Senatorial Candidate for Rivers South East.
2. Jora Hotel in D/Line, Port Harcourt.
3. Senator Lee Maeba’s house in Luwa in Khana LGA of Rivers State.
4. Emma Anyanwu’s house in Ulakwo in Etche LGA of Rivers State.
5. Eugene Minimah’s house in Opobo.
6. Kelechi Nwogu’s house in Omuma
7. Police Station, Kpor in Gokana LGA in Rivers State.
8. Hope Ikiriko’s house in Ogbologbolo in Ahoada West LGA in Rivers State.
9. Krisdera Hotel, Omoku in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA in Rivers State.
10. Mike Elechi’s farmhouse in Elele, Ikwerre LGA in Rivers State.
11. Barrister Harvey Ideozu’s house in Ahoada, Ahoada East LGA in Rivers State.
12. Iboroma Kichener’s house in Akuku-Toru LGA in Rivers State.
“In Gokana local government also, trained-INEC ad hoc personnel were replaced with untrained manpower suspected to be PDP members”, the party said. “It was believed to have been done in connivance with the LGA, Electoral Officer, EO.

“These same actions were also replicated in several other LGAs including Khana LGA where in Wards 6, 9, 16 17 and 18, the Returning Officers, Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers are all known PDP members. In Okrika LGA, there was a sudden change and appearance of fresh and non-trained INEC ad-hoc personnel. This also happened in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and other LGAs.

“We want to firmly state that there is nowhere in the world where this sham and debacle that happened in Rivers State can be glorified as an election and allowing this to stand is to posit to the entire World that allocation of votes and massive irregularities and malpractices will be allowed as long as the perpetrators are able to carry same out”.

The party, therefore, urged the INEC chairman to cancel Saturday’s elections in Rivers State.

BREAKING: Gunmen attack collation centre, police station, INEC office

Gunmen on Sunday morning attacked a centre where election results were being collated in Bauchi State.

Apart from attacking the Central Primary School in Alkaleri Local Government which was being used as a collation centre, the gunmen also attacked Alkaleri Divisional Police Station, and an INEC office, a resident revealed.

A source at the residence of the district head of Alkaleri confirmed the attack. He said the gunmen came in four Hilux vehicles, shooting sporadically as residents scampered for safety and those indoors remained there.

The source said the gunmen told residents not panic.

“They said they have no intention to harm any body. After the destruction they left for Bauchi (Town), because they took Bauchi road,” he said.

Sunday’s attack occurred less than 24 hours after a similar attack on another part of the state during elections.

Premium Times had reported how gunmen on Saturday stormed a polling unit in Bagurun Primary School of Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State, firing gunshots sporadically into the air and forcing voters to scamper for safety.

This spokesperson of the Bauchi State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed Saturday’s attack, said the gunmen arrived at the place in six vehicles and thereafter gathered all election materials and set some of them ablaze.

“The timely intervention of combined security forces, comprising the Police and Army, forced the suspects to abandon their mission and escape to unknown destination,” he said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks although the Boko Haram had threatened to attack during elections in Northern Nigeria. There have also been reports of similar attacks in neighbouring Gombe.

PHOTO: Man collapses at Lagos polling unit

An old man, whose name was given as Mohammed Isiaka, collapsed during Saturday elections at a polling unit in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.

Isiaka had gone through the accreditation process but collapsed shortly after collecting his ballot paper in readiness to cast his vote.

He was, however, resuscitated by a doctor also waiting to vote, alongside other voters at the unit.

Our correspondent gathered that although the electoral officers did not arrive at the unit until around 11 am, accreditation was eventually conducted using the card reader.

By the time voting started, however, there was a lot of heat, which, some voters noted, was likely to have affected Isiaka.

Buhari Beats Pres Jonathan inside Aso Villa

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) defeated President Goodluck Jonathan in the elections conducted inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

There are two polling units-Unit 021 and 022-located side-by-side within the premises of the seat of power. Buhari polled a total of 613 votes in the two polling units while Jonathan scored a total of 595 votes.

At Unit 021, Jonathan beat Buhari to second position with 293 votes while the APC candidate scored
265 votes. At the second polling booth, Unit 022, Buhari emerged winner with 348 votes while Jonathan polled 302.

For the Senatorial election in Unit 021, PDP polled 286 votes to beat APC with 260. In Unit 022, APC polled 337 votes while PDP scored 281 votes.

For the House of Representatives election in Unit 022, APC polled 334 to beat PDP to distant second with 241 votes. For Unit 021 however, it was a close contest between APC that won with 255 votes and PDP that polled 254.

A total of 575 voters were accredited out of the 2,181 registered voters for Unit 021 while 770 voters were accredited out of the 2,278 voters registered for Unit 022.

PUNCH reports that the sorting and counting of the votes ended at 11.30pm, necessitating some voters to illuminate the venue with the headlamps of their cars.

Meanwhile, Jonathan has returned to the Presidential Villa after casting his vote in his hometown, Otuoke, Bayelsa State. He was inside his official residence while the votes cast in the two units were being counted. He was said to have returned at about 8.30pm.

OPC debunks APC’s claim on its members unleashing mayhem in police, military uniforms

The Leaders of the Odua People’s Congress, Gani Adams has debunked the allegation made by All Progressives Congress’ publicist, APC, Lai Mohammed, that his members and other militants were seen wearing fake police and army uniforms so as to unleash mayhem on the opposition and disrupt elections.

In a release signed by OPC Publicity Secretary, Hakeem Ologunro, the group called on Nigerians to disregard such rumour which is capable of ruining the image and principles of the group.

According to him, “We read the story placed on the website that our organisation is going about in uniform so as to unleash mayhem in the society and we felt this kind of story should be discarded because it is not true.

We don’t know why Lai Mohammed is destorying our image and his latest lie in the media release issued that OPC members and other militants were seen wearing fake police and army uniforms so they can unleash mayhem on the opposition and disrupt voting, especially in the South-west, without hindrance.

“If this claim is to be believed why didn’t the APC Chief Propagandist come up with video or even pictures to confirm his claims?

“When will Lai Muhammed and his bunch of liars accept the fact that the people of South West have been liberated from their “MASS HYPNOTISM”?.

“It is funny that a party that can parade its presidential candidate granting an interview in Abuja as being interviewed in London will be shameless to rope OPC into their obvious failure in the coming polls.

“One would have expected Lai Muhammed and his bunch of democracy rapists will be busy with the logistics of how they will cover their heads in shame and seek forgiveness from Nigerians after a disgraceful outing is rather busy attempting to create tension and needless outcries.

“We have told our members to be peaceful and law abiding. We wash our hands off any attempt to disrupt the election and we are certain nothing will go wrong,

“It is only in the mind of evil plotters like Lai Muhammed that the only thing they see about the coming election is violence and bloodshed, when we joined other concerned Nigerians to stage a peaceful protest days back, they used their propaganda machinery to call us thugs, touts and other negative names, the moment we came public to show the video of the event, they shamefully kept quiet only for their claim today that our members and ex-militants are parading security uniforms to cause mayhem.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us,we are not part of those who have hijacked the democratic process to satisfy their selfish and greedy interest, and are yet to come to terms with the fact that Nigerians are wiser now.

Baby mama accuses singer, May D of domestic violence

According to a report on Linda Ikeji’s blog, Nigerian singer, May D has been accused of assault and domestic violence by the mother of his son, Adebola Olowoporoku. Adebola, who delivered a baby boy for May D in January 2013, narrated how she endured brutal beatings from the singer.

‘My name is Debola. I’m sure you know who I am, you put me on ur blog about 3yrs ago, for tattooing a Nigerian artist’s name on my body. I’m MayD’s baby Mama… I haven’t come here to rant or make noise, but to say some important things that I feel people should know. I will try to make my story as short as possible,’ she wrote to the blogger.

Continuing, she said: ‘I was with MayD for 8 years, which implies we were together from the get-go, before his career began and when nobody knew him obviously. For many years I stayed with him, obviously as his girlfriend, I supported him, financially, physically and emotionally. Back then, when I was in Babcock, we passed through loads of hurdles together, being that he was struggling and incapable of providing for himself and I was obliged to support him financially.

‘Even when it was extreme, like giving him a semester’s tuition to pay for studio sessions while I stupidly stayed at home, the things we do for love, right? I practically paused my life for him, for us at a point. The sad part about this whole thing is that I never got tired. I did everything that was within my reach. He stopped to cater for his kid a while ago, which I took responsibilities for and started to do diligently.

‘Now, like most relationships, we had major problems which included the frequent cheating  and escapades with girls, which I obviously endured as I was consumed by the “main chick” title. Not that I was even getting any good thing in return, he never for one day acknowledged me, or made me feel like we were in a relationship together. I had no simple freedom to do whatsoever on my own, be it business, friendship, etc.’

According to Debola, that was as good as it gets.

‘The thing I couldn’t cope with was the fact that he beats me up at every slightest opportunity he had, he beats me up like a man, he beats me up so badly in front of our little boy all the time. He assaulted me regularly, I suffered domestic violence in silence, and this last time, he beat me up so badly and I passed out. I saw my life flash right in front of me. I witnessed been close to death, I prayed to survive each time he pounced on me, damaging several properties and breaking diff stuff on my head.

‘This had to be my last experience, as I thought to myself, who will take care of my child for me if I die in his hands? Who will he call mother? Who will stand by him? So, I left the relationship hurriedly, without thinking of how much time, energy, resources that must have been wasted.’

PS (I av my tattoo removed already for those of you that want to comment bullshit)

PLS SAY NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE’.

Police Invites El-Rufai, Other APC Leaders For Questioning

Hours before the election police of Kaduna state has summoned Nasir El-Rufai, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant to report for questioning in their offices.

Asked to appear along with El-Rufai are Suleiman Hunkuyi and Lawal Yakawada.

Hunkuyi is the APC senatorial aspirant for Kaduna North and chief of the APC Kaduna state campaign council while Mr. Yakawada, who was secretary to the state government in the Patrick Yakowa administration, is a senior member of the APC campaign council.

All three were summoned by the deputy commissioner of police in charge of the CID.

Samuel Aruwan, the spokesperson for the APC campaign council said, the police have followed up the written invitation with telephone calls.

The intent behind requesting the three top chiefs of the opposition to report hours before election is to hold them down until the poll ends, Aruwan said.

It is not clear why the police want to query the three men but APC insiders supposed the summon has to do with an appeal about devastation of billboards in Zaria.

The APC says it has been a victim of widespread vandalisation of its assets, saying the action of the police “is part of a campaign to slap criminal charges on the opposition for actions for which it has already been victimized”.

In a respond to the summon, Yusuf Dankofa, an associate professor of law and counsel to the APC, has written to the police, informing them that there is a current court action at the Federal High Court in Kaduna concerning the events in Zaria.

“In view of this fact that the above mentioned people’s application is before the court, the matter has been further adjourned to the 29th of April 2015 for further arguments and with this the court has been seized of this matter,” Dankofa said.

The police are yet to answer to Mr. Dankofa’s letter.

However, the APC says it has been warned to a plot to arrest some of its leaders in Southern Kaduna.

They comprise party chairman and gubernatorial running-mate, Barnabas Yusuf Bala (Bantex), Mikaiah Tokwak, Ishaya Iko, a retired vice-admiral and Ben Kure, Director General of Kaduna APC campaign council.

Earlier today, March 27, the opposition party has appealed the International Criminal Court in Hague, Netherlands to investigate President Goodluck Jonathan and eight others as esteems the audio file which supposedly caught some PDP chieftains on rigging poll in Ekiti state.

It should be noted that tomorrow, March 28, Nigerians will choose their next president.

Results of Tomorrow’s Presidential Elections will be Announced by Monday, March 30

As Nigerians go to the polls tomorrow in the presidential and national assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will announce the result of the elections within 48 hours after voting.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega who revealed this Friday, during a joint press briefing with the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Johnson Olawumi said the
electoral body has put everything in place to ensure a hitch free exercise.

Jega also revised the argument whether voters should vote and go home or stay for the result to be announced, saying the statement of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba that people should go home after voting was only advisory.

There is no controversy whether people should vote and go or stay. People should remain to know who wins in their polling unit as long as they remain calm. The statement of the IG is only advisory.”

The INEC boss also revealed that the elections will take place in all the 119,973 polling units across the country even as he added that there is no polling unit with more than 750 voters because where that occurs they should be broken into voting points.

See The Baby Born With Natural Tattoo (Photos)

Hanru van Niekerk was born with an unusual ’12’ birthmark on his forehead. Some believe he may have arrived early considering he was born on the 11th of November. His family noticed the number only a few days later when they brought the baby home. was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. on November 11, 2014, with a strange birthmark on his face in the shape of digits '1' and '2

Speaking about the matter, his  great-grandmother, Catherine Jooste, 70, said: “My youngest daughter was the first one to see it and she said there is a 1 and a 2 on his forehead. We did not worry about it, his doctor said it will fade as he gets older.”

Also speaking about the phenomenon, Patrice Hyde, a dermatologist, said babies can develop birthmarks before or shortly after birth, which usually fade or disappear completely over time.

She said: “Hemangiomas are a bunch of tiny blood vessels that grow in a specific area on the skin — that’s why they usually look red or purple. No one knows what causes blood vessels to group together, but it’s good to know that most birthmarks aren’t a sign of any kind of illness and usually don’t hurt at all.”

Why I Dumped PDP For APC – Ondo Deputy Gov

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Ali Olanusi, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party Thursday morning, has given the reason for his action.

In a statement Thursday, the Ondo State number two man said he decided to pitch his tent with the All Progressives Congress after realizing that the party offers a platform where he can find justice, fairness and equity.

He said, “While still being in place as the democratically elected Deputy Governor of Ondo State, I have decided to lead my teeming supporters and well-wishers in the state into the All Progressive Congress (APC) where we can find justice, fairness, equity and democratic liberty, a party to which majority of our kith and kins in Yorubaland belongs.

“I have taken this decision at this critical time, in the best interest of peace, stability and good governance of our dear state and for the overall development of the South West and the nation.

“They (his followers) have watched helplessly in the last six years the untold marginalisation and total exclusion from the government they laboured to put in place”.

In his response to Olanusi’s defection, the Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, said, “The state government just received the news of the defection of Alhaji Ali Olanusi, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, to the All Progressives Congress.

“Though it came as a surprise, government acknowledge his right to determine his political affiliation and wish him well”.

Mr. Olanusi’s defection came less than a week after the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru, dumped APC for the PDP.

4 Things We Learned From ‘Allelu’ by Wale, Olamide, Don Jazzy and Reekado Banks

Yesterday Don Jazzy, Wale, Olamide and Reekado Banks blessed us with the first international collaboration for 2015 with Maybach Music artiste, Wale kickstarting the song. Listen here

It’s too early to judge but early thoughts suggest the song won’t make our list of international collaborations that turned out hits despite featuring 2 industry heavyweights in Don Jazzy and Olamide. Allelu premiered on Toolz hosted show, Afternoon Drive on Beat FM.

We have listened to the song at the minimum of 50 plays and we have learned certain things or rather, made deductions from the uptempo song. While we aren’t sure of some, we present to you 4 things we learned from the joint.

1. Reekado Banks replaced Wizkid

21 year old Mavin Records artiste, Reekado Banks laced the hook of Allelu. He did well on the Maleek Berry produced track but our findings and intellect show Leyi better known as Reekado Banks replaced Starboy chief Wizkid on the song.

Wale’s verse on the song had leaked before in a studio session video & freestyle and the video showed he was going to be releasing the afrobeat vibe with Wizkid, which will make their collabos 3. But for unknown reasons Wizkid pulled out of the song and we won’t be surprised, at all, if Don Jazzy is the man that brought in his kid.

Olamide also gave props to Wizkid on his verse which was off point as Wizzy wasn’t on the record.

2. Wale knows his roots quite well

Washington DC rapper Wale real name, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin proved on Allelu that he knows his Ondo and Nigeria roots quite well but he’s been away for too long to connect properly. He delivered some lines that showed he is from here 100%.

“Moyege, halleluyah moyege,” is a cut from a popular song that was a favorite in Nigerian churches in the 1990s, Wale used this line on the song. He also gave props to Ondo & his mother. “Baba Folarin, omo olowo, London tonight and it’s Lagos tomorrow, DC is home, Ondo my mama…,” he rapped.

“Call me Akata, too may tattoos,” another line where he proved he is connected. Akata is a term for a Nigerian that has lost his/her way to American culture. He also had some egusi, with gucci on the plate, apparently.

Wale further (kind of) confirmed Reekado Banks replaced Wizkid at the beginning of his verse he said “Holla at Wiz like prrrr is you home?,”

3. Olamide is better at his usual self

YBNL chief Olamide rapped mostly on Allelu in English a move that we can’t call a failure, he was decent but his craft is better when he drops heavy street lines in his local dialect, Yoruba.

Olamide probably decided to throw lines in English because he wants to better Wale on Allelu.

Imagine Olamide made reference to Obesere, Malaika, Salawa Abeni or KWAM 1 on the song instead of The Notorious B.I.G, Wiz Khalifa and Queen Latifa… His lines would have connected to his audience more. Decent verse though

4 Don Jazzy needs to be scarce again

Don Jazzy has featured on the last two albums released by a top Nigerian artiste (Street OT & Double Trouble), which is very weird judging by his history. Don Dorobucci rose to fame (musically) dropping classic hooks on D’Banj’s (Mo’Hits) records and mesmerizing D’Banj’s ad-libs when Koko master wants to perform but these days he is everywhere and even featured on Iyanya’s last video, Gift.

We can’t recall any classic or very good verse Don Jazzy has dropped but he is iconic when he drops hooks or introduces a song like he recently did on Dorobucci and Looku Looku. That is his strength, hooks or chorus like Nate Dogg (RIP). He has however dropped too many verses lately which needs to be reduced so his fans can thirst again.

He is better when he makes less than frequent appearance. Remember Don Jazzy hardly talks during Mo-Hits era?Perhaps he knows this that is why he does hooks/intro for his label but for others he does verses because that is what he has been paid to do

Don Jazzy lasted barely 16 seconds on Allelu another sign of his weakness at verses.

Aljazeera journalists arrested by Nigerian military

The Nigerian military on Wednesday arrested two journalists working for news television, Aljazeera, in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The military accused the journalists, Ahmed Idris and Mustafa Andy, of loitering in areas were combat operations were still ongoing.

The Defence Headquarters, in a statement, said the journalists were moving around “restricted areas” in Yobe and Borno States without protection, accreditation or clearance.

The military said the journalists were monitored by intelligence operatives and were finally restrained to their hotel rooms in Maiduguri following increased suspicion that their activities were focused on interfering with ongoing military operations in those areas.

“The motive, activities and some materials in possession of these individuals are now being investigated,” the military said.

The Nigerian military had, last year, warned reporters against unauthorized movements in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States where it fights extremist sect, Boko Haram.

The defence headquarters said Wednesday until reversed, the restriction still stands while appropriate arrangements will be made to assist duly cleared journalists to report on activities in the area under military operation “within the limits of adequate safety, security and necessary procedures”.

Better be Divorced Than Dead : - Must Read

After having a look at his deep stab wound and taking the preliminary steps to stabilise his condition-the doctor told those around that the stab missed his heart by an inch!

Who stabbed him? His wife of 4years-and the mother of his only child (a girl). According to the neighbours, he has a habit of coming back home-very late and drunk but woe be tide the wife if she went to sleep on a night he comes back and has to waste his time knocking at the (locked) gate. He expects her to keep waiting for him (in addition to having his warm food ready)-it matters not how late he comes in or how sleepy she is-she is to come open the gate for him-this is almost a daily occurrence. Her failure to carry out these instructions have resulted in severe beatings (she had a broken wrist bone to show for it-which is still cast with POP and broken lips-at some point). Asked if she bothered notifying anybody about the abuse-she said their pastor and his wife are aware of it but would not hear of her numerous cries for help, that is -her desire to walk out of the marriage.

Pastor was out of town at the time of this incident but his wife confirmed that the stabbing sister had come to them on several occasions (often with bleeding injuries-resulting from his beatings) to complain about her ordeal in the hands of her husband and that she often ends such complaints with a declaration that she is fed up with the marriage and wants to quit. Of course, pastor and his wife would not hear of such-Divorce? No Way! They would pray for her and send her back home (with some bible verses to meditate on), assuring her that the devil was out to destroy her marriage and make her a divorcee (A SIN!) and that she must not allow that.

Apparently, the poor woman got to a point of i can not take this any more and fought back-the night he pounced on her for making him stand at the gate for a long time(according to him),after he came home from one of those his late nights...the man’s life is said to still be hanging in the balance-he is not out of the woods yet-the stab wound is said to be very deep...
I know pastor and his wife probably meant well for their flock who look up to them for happy endings, am just asking-should we not be realistic enough to accept the fact that certain life threatening marital disasters ,such as this one will be avoided if the woman (for example)was encouraged to give the alcoholic and abusive husband a break-all the while she was crying out for help? Look the disaster that’s at hand now in our DIVORCE IS A SIN approach to every marital challenge, that even common sense would have dictated that the one that has been crying out for help all along be really listened to?

Yeah, divorce is a sin...but murder is even a bigger sin!

I mean, temporary separation (am not preaching divorce-at least not yet!)Should be used to watch things and determine if indeed the couple (involved) are better off coming together after a while or going their separate ways-especially in the case of life threatening abuse and related matters.
What has just happened is that the woman snapped! At this stage-there is a thin line between sanity and insanity in an individual who’s been pushed beyond the limits of her endurance...depression (probably fueled by accumulated anger/depression/hopelessness) also enables this kind of ‘mode’ in a person...
Yeah, one is indeed thankful that this did not result in murder (at least, not yet) and equally praying that the one who punches his wife survives the deep stab wound. I can’t imagine the turn their marriage will take after this-except God really intervenes. There are in-laws that will almost find it unforgivable that she nearly killed their son, her own people will also hate him for making their daughter go through all that and...we all know that marriage does not take such pummelling from external forces well...simply put-things can never be the same again in that marriage-take it or leave it. I keep asking-does it really have to get this ugly and almost deadly before those involved in such settings realize that it is not working?

Jonathan did not give bribe any traditional ruler – Fani-Kayode

The PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, has debunked allegation made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that President Gooodluck Jonathan doled out monies to traditional rulers across the country to ensure his re-election.

Femi Fani-Kayode, the organisation’s Director of Media and Publicity, dismissed the allegation on Monday in Abuja at a news conference.

He also described as ‘baseless and untrue’, the allegation by the APC that the PDP doled out huge sums of monies to bribe some religious leaders across the country ahead elections.

He said that no religious leader worth his salt would fall for such antic, saying “this is another example of the lies the APC is dishing out every day.”

He restated the commitment of the PDP to the development of democracy in Nigeria, adding that the party would resist attempts by the opposition to bring about any form of unconstitutional government.
“We will resist it with the last drop of our blood and we will protect the mandate that will be given to us by the Nigerian people to the last man,” he said.

Fani-Kayode appealed to Nigerians to stand firm and come out enmass to cast their votes for President Goodluck Jonathan on March 28, regardless of threats and intimidation,

He said that the PDP was fighting for the soul of the nation as well as the survival and destiny of future generation of Nigerians.

He said: “those of us who fear God and are true believers in God, should understand that we are fighting for the very soul of our nation.

“We must not allow the enemies of God and the enemies’ of Nigeria to prevail.

“We must not allow any political party that is being covertly funded and supported by shady foreign interests to take power in this country.”

He said that attempts to incite people to violence before, during and after the elections, must be resisted by Nigerians.

Why Size Has Nothing To Do With s*x Appeal

According to recent research from the underwear brand Adore Me, when it comes to looking hot in a pair of knickers, curvy brunettes beat skinny blondes in the s*x appeal stakes.

This comes as welcome news.

Not because I am, indeed, a curvy brunette – but because, finally, we have evidence that there is room for everyone when it comes to being sexy.

And despite the best efforts of the fashion industry to convince us otherwise, thin does not always win.

You’d have had to be living under a rock for the past decade not to recognise that the fashion industry sells us an ideal.

Short of the odd novelty plus size model ‘breaking the mold’ once a season – to get headlines more than genuinely show diversity from the designer – the majority of the time, woman are told that, unless they are three Twiglets away from an eating disorder, they’re big.

The uplifting news about this campaign has less to do with the ‘discovery’ that a plus size model is hot (no s**t, Sherlock) and more that, given the choice, Joe public actually prefers a bit of meat on the bone.

Yes, the models above are both beautiful girls – the ‘choice’ is hardly a tough one and despite the fact that the ‘curvy’ model is still just that – a beautiful, olive-skinned, perfectly toned (read: airbrushed) model, actually a few extra kilos on her a*s makes no difference whatsoever when it comes to s*x appeal.

Let me repeat that, to all the women wasting precious days, months or years of their lives obsessing over a barely noticeable muffin top.

You are the only person that gives a s**t.

Being a size 14 is not the reason you haven’t got a boyfriend.

Having no confidence in your curves is.

Seriously, you think men even know what a size 14 is?

Trust me, when it comes to a women standing partially clothed in front of them, wearing little more than a thong and a smile, your waist measurement is not what’s on your potential new lover’s mind.

So, what can we learn from this?

Well, not a great deal, as it happens.

Two hot chicks in underwear are hardly a fair representation of universal s*xual attraction.

However, it does say this much – when it come to beauty ideals, blonde or brunette, thin or curvy – there is no better or worse, only more sellable or less marketable.

And that, advertising campaigns aside, when it comes to ‘sexy’ – it’s a personal choice.

This campaign can’t speak for everyone but it does tell us one thing – it’s certainly not a woman’s size that makes her sexy.

Vote for me, and I’ll end oil sector corruption in four years – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday evening promised to eradicate corruption in the nation’s oil sector in the next four years if re-elected during the Saturday’s Presidential election.

Jonathan made the promise in Lagos at a youth event tagged “An unimaginable feat in sports” meant to showcase his administration’s achievements in the sports sector.

The event which ended in the early hours of Monday attracted sports men and women, young professionals as well as beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s scholarship schemes among others.

While answering question from one of the participants during an interactive session of the event, the President promised to end the stigmatisation of Nigerians in the international community because of corruption.

He said his administration had succeeded in using technology to tackle corruption in many areas such as fertilizer distribution, procurement and salary payment among others and will do the same in the oil industry.

He said, “We are going into oil sector. People talk about the oil industry because that is an industry with a lot of people and a lot of money is involved.

“But I promise you that in the next four years, we will sanitise the oil sector.”

Jonathan regretted that the issue of corruption is being over-celebrated in a manner that makes it look as if the whole of the country is corrupt.

He said all Nigerians must work together to ensure that the stigmatisation of Nigerians is cleared.

The President also promise to work with the young people because of his conviction that parents who do not encourage young ones are preparing their families for extinction.

Specifically, he promised that he will give more youths under the age of 40 years more opportunities to serve as ministers and heads of government parastatals.

He said, “Before he left to go and participate in election as deputy governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Nurudeen (former Minister of State, Foreign Affairs) was a minister and he is below 40.

“Last week, we swore in the youngest female minister. She is also about 40 years old.

“Apart from cabinet positions for under 40s, we are also appointing young people as heads of parastatals.

“We want to continue to encourage those in youth-dominated sectors such as business, sports and entertainment industries too.

“I can assure you that we shall not go below what we are currently doing. I know you want more, vote for us and you will get it.”

Answering a question on poverty rate in the country, Jonathan puts it at 33.1 percent as against the over 60 percent that he said some people were brandishing.

He however added that the issue is not about the percentage but about the desire of his government to impact more on the lives of the people.

On the health sector, Jonathan highlighted the feats being achieved by some tertiary health institutions in the country in the areas of kidney transplant and heart surgeries.

He also mentioned the successes recorded in the fight against the Ebola Virus Disease, guinea worm as well as polio.

He promised to do more for the sector if re-elected.

Jonathan also reiterated his promise to institute special funds to assist sports men and women if re-elected.

Overall, he said better days were ahead for the country under his leadership.
