Gunmen attack primary, secondary schools in Minna

The attack occurred at about 10:30 am according to Daily Trust.

Limawa primary and secondary schools, Minna, Niger state came under attack on Monday by yet to be identified persons.

There are conflicting information on the attack as some sources said the attackers shot sporadically in the air before using their machetes to inflict injuries on the students.

The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.

The Niger state Police command spokesperson DSP Ibrahim Gambari confirmed the incident. He said normalcy had been returned to the area but did not give further details.

Last week, a female suicide bomber killed herself and a student at the Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Niger state.
