AC Milan sues Gambian footballer for claiming to be 19yrs old when he was actually 28
According to press reports in Italy, Gambian footballer
Yusupha Yaffa has been summoned to court after allegedly lying about his
age. The African forward was drafted into Milan’s youth setup, while he went
on to become a regular for the Milan U19 side.
There was only one problem, however, Yaffa, while claiming to be 19, was
actually 28.
Tompolo reveals why he is refusing to honour EFCC, court invitations
Tompolo, who accused the federal government of flouting court orders with impunity, said no one should be above the law, even as he promised to honour the invitation of the anti-graft agency, claiming to be innocent in the dealings he had with the Nigerian Maritime Safety Agency, NIMASA.
His media aide, Paul Bebenibo, who requested the EFCC to give the former militant commander more time to honour its summons, told TheCable in an interview that Tompolo, “will appear before the EFCC but the court case he has with them has to be settled before he will honour the invitation.
“Be that as it may, adherence to constitutionalism and the rule of law should not be on one part. There have been so many court pronouncements which the government and its agencies have refused to obey.
CACOL Backs Custom’s Comptroller- General Assets Declaration Directives Urges Other Public Officials To Make Theirs Public Too
The
Comptroller-General of Customs, Col Hammed Ali (retd), has directed all
officers of the Nigerian Customs Service to make full disclosure of their
assets within 14 days. The directive which was reportedly contained in a
circular signed by the CG and addressed to all Deputy Comptrollers-General,
Zonal Coordinators and Customs Area Controllers was aimed at ensuring
transparency and compliance with the rule of law.

Obasanjo Finally Speaks On 1966 Coup, Read His Emotional Words
The former president Olusegun Obasanjo, has finally spoken his mind on the January 15, 1966, military coup in Nigeria.
Speaking yesterday, January 15, in Lagos state at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of the First Republic politician and minister of finance, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, Obasanjo described the January 15, 1966 coup as a monumental error.
Release Kanu Before Monday - MASSOB Threatens FG
The Movement for the Actualization of the
Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) on Friday, January 15, issued the
federal government an ultimatum demanding the release of the director of
Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, no later than Monday, January 18.
The group reminded that Kanu was being remained in detention even after the Federal High Court, Abuja, ordered his unconditional release.
