Corruption: Ex-FIFA Vice-President Banned For Life

Controversial former vice-president of FIFA, Jack Warner has been banned for life from any sort of football related activities by the body’s ethic’s committee.
Warner is believed to have accepted bribes from individuals and corporate bodies to award the 2018 and 2022 world cups to Russia and Qatar respectively.
Warner is presently hoping his country, Trinidad do not extradite him to the US on charges of racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering.

Warner quit FIFA in 2011 after being implicated in an earlier bribery scandal.

FIFA ruled on Tuesday that  Warner had “committed many and various acts of misconduct continuously and repeatedly during his time as an official in different high-ranking and influential positions at FIFA and CONCACAF”.

He was also implicated in the “offer, acceptance, and receipt of undisclosed and illegal payments”.
Meanwhile, Jerome Valcke following accusations of corruption and mismanagement.
