Brazilian football referee pulls gun on the pitch after quarrel over red card (photos)

What the heck is this? Lol. A Brazilian football referee did something that most people have never seen before. He pulled a gun on the pitch during a dispute with players. Gabriel Murta was kicked and slapped by players during a match over the weekend, after he gave a player a red card.

DJ Xclusive set to wed this weekend

Popular Lagos DJ, Rotimi Alakija aka DJ Xclusive will be getting married to his fiancee Tinuke Ogundero this week. Their traditional wedding will hold on Thursday October 1st while their church wedding will hold on Saturday October 3rd. The couple got engaged in July 2014. Congrats to them.

Jim Carrey's 28-year-old on/off-again girlfriend, Cathriona White has committed suicide. Her body was found at her residence last night after her friends called the police. TMZ reports below...
Our sources say White left a suicide note addressed to Carrey which references their break up on Sept. 24. Cathriona tweeted on the 24th ... "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest."

Controversial former vice-president of FIFA, Jack Warner has been banned for life from any sort of football related activities by the body’s ethic’s committee.
Warner is believed to have accepted bribes from individuals and corporate bodies to award the 2018 and 2022 world cups to Russia and Qatar respectively.

Sarakigate: Politicians Running From Their Shadows - CACOL




There had been indications in the news that politicians in the country have begun to lobby the Code of Conduct Bureau into availing them the avenue to tinker with the information earlier submitted on the assets declaration forms already in its custody, to escape possible future prosecution. A development which came in the light of the ongoing trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over alleged false declaration of assets. Politicians in the country had until now seemed to have taken the exercise for granted, believing that a day of reckoning may never come.

Ministerial list yet to get to the Senate

The much awaited ministerial list is yet to arrive the Senate. Senate President Bukola Saraki in his address this morning said the Senate is still waiting for the list
"As we await the list of ministerial nominees this week, I believe the presence of ministers will create the space for greater policy engagement with the Executive Arm of government and enable us to begin to respond in a more systematic manner to the various economic and social challenges before us, especially through our various Committees that will also be constituted soon.

Senate president Bukola Saraki insist he is being tried at the Code of Conduct Tribunal because he emerged senate president against the wishes of some powerful individuals. He said this while addressing members of the senate at their resumed session today September 29th.
"Distinguished Senators, I believe you have all followed with keen interest, my trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. I shall avoid discussing the details of that case here for obvious reasons. But let me say it again, that I am ready and will submit myself to the entire judicial process as provided by law.

Kogi/Bayelsa Elections: CACOL Queries APC’s Choice Of Candidates

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, CACOL has queried the propriety of the choice of the two governorship candidates by the All Progressives Congress in Kogi and Bayelsa States.

This came on the heels of the recent emergence of former Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu and former Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Timipre Sylva as candidates of the All Progressives Congress governorship elections scheduled to hold in Kogi and Bayelsa States on 21st November, 2015 and 5th December, 2015 respectively.
